Asian women are known for their delicate beauty and smooth, young skin. This is probably why I’m always attracted by traditional skin care remedies from the Orient.
One of these remedies is using rice powder, which we know more for its exceptional nutritional properties. Red rice is traditionally used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine to bring balance to combination skin. Naturally coloured, rich in Vitamin E and natural anti-oxidants, the rice bran is rich in oil, makes an effective exfoliant and helps to improve blood circulation. Because rice contains ferulic acid(antioxidant) and allantoin(anti-inflammatory agent), we can use it as face mask, adding some water or milk to it.
Ingredients: Brassica rapa ( Canola) oil, Vitis vinifera (Grapeseed) oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Ricinus communis (Castor) oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Water, Prunus dulcis (Almond) Oil, (Cananga odorata) ylang-ylang, (Litsea cubeba) litsea cubeba, (Citrus limonum) lemon, (Salvia sclarea ) clary sage essential oils, red rice powder.

Great Nat and beside the ingredients,it looks fantastic. And I would say it smells fabulously!
I’ve never tried red rice before, either as ingredient for cooking nor in soaps! I will definitely try it. This is really amazing how beautiful red color it provides. You did a great job Natalia!
Very interesting! Didn´t know what red rice was before I asked Google. I only knew that there are red rice tablets for high cholesterol.
I like the color. It is so rich. Did you buy the rice as a powder?
No,Marika, I don’t buy it as powder, I make it home with a (good) mixer. Hope it helps 😉
This is a very lovely soap, and sounds like it smells divine. 🙂
