We drink this juice regularly during the cold season, because it seems to boost the immune system. But it’s worth drinking elderberry juice often because it contains a lot of bioflavonoids which are known to be the most effective antioxidants for the prevention of human cell damage. I have never made it at home, but I was curious to see the colour we can obtain from it in soap.
Soap made of black elderberry juice, Brassica rapa ( Canola) oil, Vitis vinifera (Grapeseed) oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Ricinus communis (Castor) oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Prunus dulcis (Almond) Oil, (Salvia sclarea ) clary sage Essential Oil, Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) Essential Oil , Lavender (Lavandula latifolia) Essential Oil.
Never tried elderberry either. Haven´t seen it in any shops in Finland.
yummi !
That is such a gorgeous natural color you got from the juice! Love the details on the top too =)
Never tried this berries either! I love the color which they provide, soap turned out really grate!
Ti-a iesit minunat sapunul si ce mult imi place cum l-ai fotografiat asa in zapada, foarte original. Pupici !
Lovely soaps, Natalia! I love the two-toned layers and the berries on top are a beautiful touch!
While I was a kid, I thought the elderberry was toxic. I suppose someone had told me so. Actually I’be never tried these berries, but I hope they can transfer some of their quality to soap. Is that colour brown? The soap looks so creamy and yummy with both warm colours!
I’ll have to keep this in mind. I’ve been hoping to get some elderberry bushes myself.
That color is from the juice? It’s gorgeous and gives a very natural color to the soap. =)
