Pine tar is an ingredient which I was looking for so long and this because I have heard so many good things about it. Coming from Norway, pine tar has a long history in the treatment of skin diseases like rosacea, eczema, psoriasis. Its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties make it useful for the cure of dandruff. It is well-known for its antifungal and antimicrobial effects, which make it an excellent ingredient for soaps and shampoos.
I have already made a shampoo of it and I want to give it a try a few more times the comingmonths before I judge on how good it is (I will come back on it within 2 months).
This soap was made of: coconut oil, olive oil, cocoa butter, sesame oil, almond milk, pine tar, niaouli essential oil, ylang-ylang essential oil. I was expecting to get a black colour, but because I used only a little bit, the colour is not really what I wanted. The the smell of soap is strong but it smells so clean!
Gr.

I really love your choice of soap stamp, it gives your soap that edge of personality! =)
I bought a pine tar soap last year and still have it sitting on my shelf. I’ve been so reluctant on using it, cos I (luckily) have no problems for the ailments it is recommended for and the smell is sooooo strong – smoke-like. I think I will give it to someone who needs it more.Mine is very dark, nearly black, but I like yours better. I suppose the smell is also better. I really would like to know whether it helps with all those skin ailments.
J’adore ce petit timbre d’oiseaux!
Btw, what’s happened to your side bars?
Yes, Maja, the smell is kind of strange , but it’s ok. Ah, you talk also FR my dear?
What do you mean by side bar changing? I haven’t changed anything.
Tu as mis quoi ?
Ton tampon est vraiment joli !
Bisous
Merci Cannella!
I love your stamp, it’s so cute! Does pine tar really help all those skin ailments?
Now Monica, this is what I read about pine tar. I wish I could confirm it to you 🙂
I´ve been looking for pine tar for at least a year now! It has also been used here in Finland for ages and you can buy pine tar creme that is good for almost anything. Some even use it for diaper rash I think that the color is nice and smooth. And your little dove is so adorable!
Thanks Marika! You can find it it in a drugstore.
I love that little stamp! I’ve never smelled a pine tar soap, but I’ve read lots of good things about it…yours turned out so nice, can’t wait to see what you think of it once it’s cured!
I have been already using it, Cee( it was made some months ago), and I like the texture (creamy soap). I wish I had some acnee to check if it really works 🙂
Sapunul miroase a ‘afumat’ 🙂
Such a pretty soap, Natalia! The soap stamp is adorable. I’ve never tried pine tar in soap before, but I hear that it is a nice additive. Great job!
Another new ingredient, bravo! I plan to try many soap swirling techniques but when I see soaps like this they remind me what I like the most: simple beauty of nature!
