Autumn is the pumpkin’s period. I couldn’t let this season pass by without making a pumpkin soap. Last year, I had a less nice experience using the pumpkin puree , so this year I wanted to make a different version of the pumpkin soap, and I used pumpkin juice instead of water. The colour I obtained is really nice, less strong than the colour obtained with the pumpkin puree, but I like this bright yellow colour which reminds me of the sunny days.
Soap made of: pumpkin juice, coconut oil, cacao butter, palm oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, pumpkin seed oil, grapefruit essential oil, sage essential oil.
You surprise me every time with a new ingredient! Did not know anything about pumpkin juice. Did you juice it yourself?
Yes, Marika, I make it home :).
So now I need a new blender so it is easier to try your raw recipes and also a juicer 🙂
The yellow color of the soap is pretty. It looks very rich.
Groetjes.
They look lovely, yellow colour is so sunny and warm!
Daa, ai obtinut o culoare foarte frumoasa cu suc de dovleac !
Love the golden color, Natalia!
Did you use raw pumpkin juice and does the grapefruit scent stay?
Yes, Silvia, I did use the raw pumpkin juice! Grapefruit scent combined with sage is one of my favourite combination which I believe stay more than if I had only used grapefruit essential oil.
ooo en ruikt de zeep dan ook zo’n beetje naar een zoete pompoentaart? Dat lijkt me geweldig om op een koude herstdag de hele dag door in die geur te baden. Bedankt voor je mailtje (superleuk), ik antwoord snel!
Your blog could easily be called ‘(Almost) Edible’ , all look so yummy, that only careful reader can make a difference what really is edible. 🙂
Beautiful colour, I bet it smells great! On my phone display colours don’t look the same on both pictures, was it lightening?
Thanks Maja ! The 1st picture is taken outside on a rainy/cloudy day. But the 2nd picture is more real for the color!
Lovely colour soap – and grapefruit and sage EOs sounds like a great combination – did you use them in equal proportions?
Thanks Vicki! Yes, in equal proportions should be ok( I never measure). Just try this combination, you will love it!
🙂 I will – thanks!
Oh, how exciting….pumpkin juice?! What a great idea! Love the contrast between your bar and the cornflower petals, just gorgeous!
Thank you, Christine! I love cornflowers so I use them everytime I can!
love the natural color! I agree with Cee…the cornflower petals add a nice contrast 🙂
Thank you, Kalla!
Lovely, lovely natural color! I tried pumpkin puree, but from boiled pumpkin, and was not satisfied with the outcome. You really inspired me now, I will for sure try raw pumpkin juice soon.
What a neat idea to use pumpkin juice! Your soaps are lovely, Natalia. I love pumpkin anything this time of year!
Multumesc, draga Iulia! Florile albastre sunt albastrele( cornflowers).
