Julicu Soaps

I haven’t made soaps for some weeks, but I have been enjoying ones of the most delicate soaps on blogosphere: Julicu soaps.

When I discovered how beautiful the soap dishes, made by Iulia and her husband are, I immediately knew that I want to have at least one of them home too! I ordered some and Iulia sent me besides the dishes also 4 soaps and 1 lip balm. It took some time to get them but it was worth waiting.IMG_1848[1]kopie (2)

Iulia makes gorgeous soaps, she is attracted by all natural ingredients, she makes beautiful photos and lately she started some courses to teach other people how to make home your own soap, lip balm, deo, parfum etc. Admiring, isn’t it?
When I received her packet, I was really amazed. I was sure she would put a piece of her work in it, but I didn’t expect to receive 4 different soaps, 1 lip balm and 3 soap dishes!!! I didn’t dare to unwrap the soaps and I admired their labels and packagings during some days: a light paper which lets soaps brief, nicely written list of ingredients( in Latin, English or Romanian), lovely chosen names for the soaps! I like so much all these little details.

All the soaps are adorable, but the bay-alep soap is such a cutie! Made out of 30% bay leaves oil, this soap smells so so good! I have never tried this oil in soap, but I can’t wait to give it a try as the color of the soap is so lovely! The 2nd soap which drew my attention was the goat milk and oats soap: love its rustic look, its delicate stamp and melissa and ylang-ylang essential oils make such a fine perfume! The 100% olive oil soap has a lavender scent and looks so simple and beautiful as it is: love its natural yellowish-white color. The last soap is a piece of art: melt and pour combined with whipped; white and green; and some petal roses op top! It’s the frozen garden! This is such a delicate soap!
We started using the goat/oats soap. It has a small and cute shape; it makes a gentle exfoliating soap, leaving the hands skin naturally hydrated, soft and with a joyful and fresh scent and I can’t wait to try the other soaps too.

shea_salvie_03The wooden soap dishes are really too beautiful to be used! I know I will use them, but only as decoration and certainly not as soap dishes: they are so attentively and perfectly made, the drawing are original and so unique. Small portraits to be hanged out!

Thank you, Iulia, for these beauties!

I am constantly amazed by how talented people are. I would have a hard time using the soap dishes to hold soap they are more a piece of art that I’d want to put on display.

Natalia, I am so overwhelmed with your words! I don’t know what else to say but a heartfelt ThankYou! You have been one of my dearest inspirations since I found you. Many of my soaps are born just because there’s something or someone out there that inspires me and you are one of those people. And not just through your soaps which are literally tiny pieces of art. But also through your warm heart and willingness to help at all times. All soapmakers friends of ours have received your precious gifts, and you always find a way to help. As for the description of my soaps I am humbled. I never wrote so much and in such nice words about them myself! I admit though that Andrei’s soap dishes are gorgeous😊

Wow, those are beautiful! Truly works of art, both the soaps and the soap dishes. I think one of the best things about soapers is when you buy their soaps, you know you’re buying their passion and it shows through in the final product. Your photos also do them justice.
