Soaps from Macedonia

Macedonia is for us, since several years, our holiday destination. I love everything about this country: sun, nature, food, people. I even made a soap to honour Macedonia 🙂 which also triggered a nice friendship with Maja from Skopje. We started exchanging emails and I was so impressed to discover in Maja a person fascinated about soaps and nature as I am. We both saw too late the post of  Marika about the swap she organized, so finally Marika was so nice to organize a little group swap between us.

So the parcel I received  this weekend in the mail was the one from Maja. Sorry Maja that I had to ‘hide’ it from you 🙂 .

It’s very exciting to know these soaps come from this lovely country and especially from this lovely person. Maja sent me 2 soaps , and for both she used the droplet technique which I also adore.

I  was totally in love with the chocolate & mint soap, called “Diva’s Dessert” . The soap smells absolutely delicious , the mint leaves are very well illustrated and it is made of goat milk. I can’t wait to try this soap.

The 2nd soap , ‘Breakfast Buffet’ was a new ingredient soap: the egg ! I have used only once egg in my shampoo soap and I liked its texture.  I can sincerely say that by using the droplet technique you got a gorgeous soap, Maja!  This really is one of the most beautiful soaps I have ever seen. What a nice combination of colours!

Thank you, dear Maja, for these beautiful creations! I  know today is a special day for you, so Happy birthday, Maja!

I want to thank also Marika for organizing this swap! I can’t wait to receive her soaps too, these ones coming from the other side of Europe – Finland!

Ooooohhhhhh gosh, I can’t believe you were hiding this from me 5 days?! Oh,you actually were waiting this day! Can’t believe it! You really gave me the most wonderful b-day present, having me &my soaps here! I’m so glad that you like them and hopefully you will like them, too when start using them.
Thank you for you time for taking pictures and for this featuring.
I just need to mention the ‘egg soap’ I name ‘Breakfast buffet’, because it contains butter (cocoa), milk (oatmeal), cereals (oatmeal) and egg ,of course. It really reminded me of some breakfast menu,so that’s how it got its name.
And the second one (Diva’s dessert) actually contains ‘first time ingredient’ too, because I tried goat milk for the first time (finally found it in the stores)- I mean, what chocolate would be like without milk?

Oh, I’m still excited, this could be a wonderful day, judging by its beginning!
Thank you dear for this lovely surprise, you made my day!
    A million kisses…….

Maja’s soaps are beautiful! I recently tried the droplet effect for the first time recently and I love the way that technique looks. I am curious about egg in soap, too – I’ve heard that it is very nice. The chocolate mint soap looks absolutely edible!

Thanks Jenny for your nice words! Indeed, using this technique you can get such nice soaps!
Looking forward to seeing your soaps too!
