Soaps from Finland

I have been waiting quite long for these soaps and finally I received them yesterday. Marika sent me 2 beautiful soaps, which smell so well that l don’t think l’m ever going to be able to use them, because l can’t bear the thought of using all these gorgeous and carefully made soaps! The soaps are very delicate, with words it is difficult to describe, unfortunately , and so perfectly cut( sorry, but I still use a kitchen cutter so it’s normal that this impressed me). All this delicacy translates a lot of passion that a soapmaker puts in his work.

The  1st soap , the Snow Angel, a very sweet and refined soap, is  made of soy milk. Marika managed to make lovely ‘snow’ figures.

The  2nd  one, called Gingerbread is such a delicious soap. I wish I could eat it :). This soap was  also made of soy milk, as 1st time ingredient, and Marika used the droplet technique to create a swirl which reminds me of a marble cake. This is, without any doubts, my favourite soap.

It’s really nice this feeling of discovering and knowing someone via her soaps, especially when the soaps come from another country and culture. Through these soaps I see in Marika a very gentle and delicate person, fascinated by this universe of soaps ! Seeing them is as if I know Marika for a while …

Thank you Marika for organizing this lovely international swap.

Oh, you are so sweet! I have to tell you that I use a normal knife to cut my soap. I used to cut bread with it, now I cut soap 😀 Hope you enjoy the soaps, but don´t eat the gingerbread one even if it looks like cake 😉
