I have joined another challenge ! Isabelle from ‘Elle bulle’ announced some weeks ago the beginning of a new soap challenge. I love them and I hope I can make the time for all of them.
The 1st challenge was ‘inclusion soap’, using spirulina as natural color and urucum and cacao powder( insclusions).
There are so many beautiful soaps on her blog, it’s worth visiting and having a look at all of them.
The 2nd week the challenge was tunnel, a technique I discovered last year during Amy’s challenges. This year I wanted to use a triangle to make my swirl and the problem is that I couldn’t find anything home which I could use. On the last moment, I decided to cut a laundry soap with a triangle shape :). This is a lovely challenge as long as your soap has the right trace. In my case, because I used natural colourants, I had some problems with the yellow clay and I had to stop at a certain moment, so my soap is kind of thin. As a whole, I think it’s not too bad.
As colourants I used: indigo, Australian red clay, yellow clay, zinc oxide.
I want to thank Isabelle for her input into this challenge.
I love the color palette you chose!
Thanks you, Anne-Marie!
They are gorgeous, Nat! Splendid! The column technique is on my to-do-list, as soon as I find a convenient mould (better say a container). Bravo, girl, colours are amazing and I love the spirulina green! I admire your talent for taking pictures, too!
Can’t wait to see your soap, Maja! You know, I am glad I joined this chalenge, otherwise I woudn’t have tried this technique 😉
I am always amazed how you’re very creative with natural colorants. I love the color combination of both soaps! Now I want some of that indigo… 🙂
Thank you, Silvia!
Both soaps are beautiful, Natalia! I especially like the spirulina and cocoa inclusion soap.
Oh, I am glad you like this spirulina soap, Jenny! But I will have to try this type of soap again, as my soap is far from the results I was hoping :).
Jenny, you took the words out of my mouth! 😀 I had just planned to leave exact same comment!
🙂
Bravo Nat! You indeed mastered using natural colorants in soaps!
Thank you, Gordana!
These are simply lovely Natalia! I can’t pick a favourite- I like both the stripes and the swirls 🙂
Fantastic colours again Natalia – I particularly like the inclusion soap. I know I keep saying it but your use of natural colours really is inspirational.
Such gorgeous soaps Nat! The inclusion soap is so interesting, I love how linear it is and what a wonderful contrast to the tunnel soap. Just goes to show how wonderfully talented you are.
So pretty Nat! It just amazes me what you can do with those natural colors!!!
Thank you, Christine, but I seem to use everytime the same colors 🙂
