Did you know that the ice cream was invented by the chinese? It’s strange because China is the last country I would associate with ice cream …
Even if it’s almost autumn , after a day of work many people long for a fresh ice cream.
For me this summer was low in ingredients when it comes to ice cream. If last year, my favourite dessert contained a whole list of ingredients: water, sugar, vegetable fat, dried milk, low fat powdered milk, glucose syrup, dextrose, emulsifiers, stabilizers, salt, butter fragrance, caroten colorant etc, this year my favourite ice cream has only 2 ingredients: mango and bananas. But does the quality get better when more ingredients are used?
Recipe:
2 bananas
1 mango
Cut both fruits and keep them in the fridge for 3-4 hours. Afterwards mix them with a blender and put them back again in the freezer for 2 hours. You get a lovely, creamy and healthy ice cream !
The taste is almost the same as an ice cream from the shop, the difference consists in the pleasure of making your own dessert and – above all – you can be sure of eating an ice cream made of healthy and carefully chosen ingredients!

Daca anul trecut, desertul meu preferat continea o intreaga lista : apa, zahar, grasime vegetala, lapte praf integral, lapte praf degresat, sirop de glucoza, dextroza, emulsificatori, stabilizatori, sare, aroma de unt, colorant caroten natural etc, anul acesta inghetata mea preferata contine doar 2 ingrediente: mango si banane.

More ice cream! 🙂 I have often made ice cream with frozen banana, but almost every time it has also contained yogurt or coconut milk. Mango sounds so lovely! I bought some organic Finnish hemp seeds yesterday so it will be a pleasure to make your other ice creme.
We (hubby and me) tried to read this text without google translator and we really understood a lot.
Wow, so next time I will write you in Ro 🙂
Thanks Marika!
This sounds like really nice and health recipe, I have to try it myself! Thanks for Romanian post. I will visit Bucharest in October so that this is good way to practice a little 🙂
Ah, nice…I wish I could also go there in october 🙂
I would never have guessed that ice cream originated in China! This looks so good Nat, I’ve seen ‘ice cream’ made from just bananas but the added mango is such a good idea!
Thanks Cee!
Multumesc Geta! Aceasta inghetata e favorita sotului 😉
Yummy! Mango and banana sound great together, especially in ice cream!
Thanks Jenny!
You are so right. Less IS more! Another perfectly raw recipe! Love it!
