Ode to clays

I am not going to start this post saying that it’s been a while since I wrote something here… instead I will tell you how good it was seeing my mother and my sister again. We spent more than a week together and we enjoyed every second of it. Now, looking back at those moments, I know I have something beautiful to think of until the next time.
The separation was hard. Maybe harder than last time. Or the older I get , the harder it is…But picking up  the making of soaps made me feel better. Thinking of which clays, which herbs and how to best combine essential oils to make new soaps made me forget the sadness. Especially cutting the soaps. There is always a special emotion cutting them.

How wonderful you got to spend a week with your mother and sister. Those moments are priceless. 🙂 I will also have a chance to see my sister next month. I am looking forward to it. 😊

All your soaps look great and I love your use of clays and essential oils. How do you like the manjishta? The pink color is pretty.

Thanks, Silvia! I hope you enjoy the time with your sister as much as I did!

Manjista is a nice colorant, but havne’t explored it at maximum yet.

      Multumesc draga Geta!

Very beautiful soaps, so natural and rich,I’m especially intrigued with this black clay! What are the blue embeds in the last one?

  8. Natalia says:

Thanks, Maja! The blue embeds are from an old soap(https://mijnzeep.wordpress.com/2012/04/12/my-first-cupcake/) 🙂

Beautiful soaps, Natalia! The dried flowers on top are so pretty. I’m glad that you got to spend some time with your mom and sister. I went home to Florida for a couple of weeks last month and visited my family. The goodbyes are hard. But we all had a great time, too!
